  • What types of batteries are used?
    The device uses size 13 zinc-air batteries that can be found at many local stores and online retailers.
  • How long do the batteries last?
    Most users experience a battery life of 7-11 days depending on how often the device is used.
  • What to do if a battery is swallowed?
    If a battery is ingested by a person or pet, call the battery ingestion helpline at 800-498-8666. ​
  • Do I need to use two devices?
    Using two devices is the most beneficial for comprehending sounds clearly and detecting where sounds are coming from. It is likely that your overall satisfaction will be higher with two devices.
  • Will the device fit my ear?
    The device comes with multiple flexible, silicone tips that fit comfortably in most adult ears. We offer different sizes and if none of these sizes fit comfortably you can contact us for a different style tip. The device is designed to fit most adult ears and meet the needs of most people with hearing loss.
  • How do I put the device in my ear?
    The device comes fully assembled and all the user has to do is put on the correct size dome tip for your ear. To put the device in properly to assure maximum benefit and comfort, make sure that you are putting the correct device in the correct ear. Each device has a colored marker inside the battery compartment. A blue marker indicates the left aid, while a red marker indicates the right aid. Place the dome tip in your ear canal first, holding the tip vertically, and move the body of the device behind your ear, making sure the tip stays firmly in your ear.
  • How often should I wear my device?
    The more often you wear your devices, the easier it will be to get used to hearing with them. We recommend wearing them during all waking hours to maximize benefit. However, if you feel you do not need to or do not want to wear them this often, wear them whenever you feel it is necessary, specifically in difficult listening situations. ​ It is recommended that the devices are not worn during sleep to help prevent damage to the devices. It is also recommended that the devices are not worn when you are around loud sounds to prevent further hearing damage from occurring. ​
  • How often do I need to clean my device?
    Your device should be cleaned regularly to ensure it works for years to come. We have included cleaning tools to help remove debris and wax from the tips and tubing. It is recommended you clean the tips and tubing every night.
  • How do I clean it?
    There are several areas that need to be cleaned on the device. To clean the tubing, start by removing it from the device by simply grasping the tube close to the hearing aid casing and gently pulling tube away from he hearing aid to pop it off. Pick up the blue cleaning wire. Insert it into the top of the tube and run it fully through the tube a few times to remove any debris. ​ To clean the dome tips, simply use the cleaning tool that was included to brush off or scoop out any wax or debris. ​ To clean the microphone ports, grasp the hearing aid upside down. Using the cleaning tool, gently brush the microphone ports to remove any debris. ​ To clean the hearing aid casing, use a soft cloth to gently wipe down the hearing aid. Do not rinse the hearing aid with water or use other chemicals or cleaners as this can damage the electronics.
  • What is feedback?
    A whistling sound sometimes produced by hearing aids is called feedback. It occurs when sound that has already been amplified by the hearing aid leaks out of your ear and is picked up by the microphone and amplified again. Feedback is expected when a hand or item is placed over/ covering the microphone ports. Feedback should not occur when nothing is covering/near the microphone ports or when the wearer is talking/chewing.
  • Do I need a prescription or medical evaluation?
    You do not need a prescription or medical evaluation to order our device. However, if you experience any significant hearing problems, you should seek the advice of a medical or hearing professional. If you have any symptoms such as ringing in the ear, fluid or drainage from the ear, excessive ear wax, ear pain, dizziness, or fluctuating hearing loss, please consult a doctor before purchasing our device.
  • How do I know if I need this device?
    If you struggle to understand conversation, strain to hear the TV/radio, or ask others to repeat themselves all the time, then this is the device for you. We provide a high-tech device that amplifies sound for those who have trouble hearing in every day situations. If these problems sound familiar, then this is the perfect device for you!
  • Will the device help me?
    Our device is designed to amplify sound using state-of-the-art technology. The best way to know if the device will help you is to try it out! We have provided multiple programs designed by audiologists to provide appropriate amplification for the majority of the population. We also have a thirty day hassle-free return period if for some reason you don’t love the device.
  • What things does the device not help with?
    The device will likely provide minimal to no benefit in some noisy situations.
  • How do I set the volume?
    The volume is controlled by a rocker switch that functions as a volume control and a program control. To increase the volume, locate the top notch of the rocker switch. Quickly press and release the top notch. To decrease the volume, locate the bottom notch of the rocker switch. Quickly press and release the bottom notch.
  • How do I change programs?
    Changing programs is performed using a rocker switch that doubles as a volume control and a program control. ​ To advance upward in program number, locate the top notch of the rocker switch. Press and hold the top notch for 3 seconds and then release. To advance backwards in program number, locate the bottom notch of the rocker switch. Press and hold the bottom notch for 3 seconds and then release.
  • How does this device compare to custom hearing aids?
    Custom hearing aids can cost upwards of $4000 per ear! Our devices offer similar digital technology and convenient volume and program controls to give you a positive hearing aid experience at a fraction of the cost.
  • Can the device be repaired?
    The device can be repaired. If you need any repairs please contact our customer service department.
  • Can the device work with my cell phone?
    The device can work with cell phones. Signia myControl, which is a mobile app that allows you to personalize your hearing aid experience is available for both Apple and Android cell phones. More information about the app's features and how to connect your device to the app is available here.
  • What is the purpose of the concha lock?
    The concha lock goes into the bowl of your ear. It helps keep the earpiece from working its way out of your ear when you talk or chew.
